Scotland's unique hotel awards and guide scheme

“The flagship awards for the Scottish hotel industry” - First Minister

Make sure you, your hotel and company, management and people have all the advantages of being part of the Scottish Hotel Awards’ year-long process PLUS be included fully in the all-new online (and in other media) Scottish Hotel Guide!

Together they make up The Scottish Hotel Awards & Guide Scheme.

The 8th annual Scottish Hotel Awards, 'Scotland's hotel Oscars', which our team inaugurated, will be held on Sunday February 27th 2011 in Glasgow. "Scotland's flagship hotel awards" said First Minister who presented the top awards in 2007. The official awards website has operated since 2003 and has been revamped for 2011.

The Scottish Hotel Guide, with its Recommendation Rating system, has been designed using years of hotel guide experience plus input from leading Scots hoteliers. Launched in summer 2010 following a year’s development and 6-month test phase it will reach full strength in season 2010.

Everything is arranged on an individual, friendly and personalised hotel-by-hotel basis as each package is different; it depends, too, upon the extent to which you would like to be / can be involved in the awards. Membership is by way of one annual fee. There may (in some more extensive cases) be additional judging fees of £50 per category, made clear when we formally agree with you the categories your hotel will be included within.

Membership is open to accommodation providers rated in general at 3 stars or above. Those who have decided not to be rated by VisitScotland or the AA are welcome still to apply.
